Washing and care
How do I wash the beeswax wraps?
Rinse them in cold water with a little mild soap, then leave them to air dry. Never hot water: above 40 degrees the wax starts to melt.
Can they go in the dishwasher or the microwave?
No. Both get too hot and melt the wax layer. Hand washing in cold water is all they need.
How long does one set last?
Over a year with normal use and correct washing.
What do I do when a sheet stops clinging?
Put the sheet on a baking tray lined with baking paper, and place it in the oven at 80 to 90 degrees for a few minutes. The wax melts out evenly again, and the sheet clings like new.
What can I wrap?
Bowls, cheese, fruit, vegetables and leftovers. Not raw meat or raw fish.
