Why this matters to me
Hello, my name is Elias, and I am the person behind Vokshus. Here I want to share something close to my heart: care for people living with cancer, and for everyone close to them.
It moves me to think of someone waiting for news, someone going through treatment, and someone trying to be there for a person they love. I also think about how much an ordinary day can hold. Worry, hope, tiredness, and moments when you want to think about something else entirely.
I cannot know how it feels for each person. Everyone has their own story, and I want to leave room for that. Perhaps you are affected yourself. Perhaps someone comes to mind as you read these words. You do not need to feel a certain way or share your story here.
My own starting point is simple: I wish I could do more, and I want to contribute what I can. For me, that begins with taking that feeling seriously and looking at the opportunities I actually have to help. Through Vokshus, I want to turn that wish into something concrete.
When I think about contributing, I hope it can become a small part of something we support together. I want to be clear about what I commit to, so that you can understand what a contribution means and where the money will go. That is a responsibility I want to take seriously.
This message therefore has its own place at Vokshus. Here you can read about the care behind the initiatives I choose to support, even after an individual campaign has ended.
Thank you for taking the time to read. If you are affected, I want to send you a warm thought, and to the people close to you too.
Elias, the person behind Vokshus
